Scale
Rollups
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or your favorite melty cheese)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Garnish
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Extra Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix well to create a flavorful garlic butter sauce.
- Assemble the rollups: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella and a light sprinkle of Parmesan onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle towards the tip, fully enclosing the cheese inside. Place each rollup seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with garlic butter: Generously brush each rollup with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring the tops and edges are coated to enhance flavor and browning.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese inside is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and while still warm, sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley on top. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Use any melty cheese you prefer such as cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a cheese blend.
- For extra crispiness, brush the rollups with garlic butter halfway through baking as well.
- Adjust garlic quantity to your taste preference or add garlic powder for a milder flavor.
- These rollups can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before baking; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if chilled.
- Serve with marinara or ranch dipping sauce for added flavor options.
