Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasonings
- 2 large chicken breasts, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Cheese and Wraps
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
Sauce and Garnish
- 1/2 cup creamy garlic sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the diced chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the chicken pieces are evenly coated with the seasonings.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked through and browned on all sides. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay out each large flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spread a spoonful of creamy garlic sauce evenly over each tortilla. Top the sauce with cooked chicken pieces, then sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
- Melt the Cheese: Fold each tortilla over the filling to create a wrap. Place the wraps back onto the hot skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, pressing lightly, until the cheese inside melts and the tortillas become golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet, slice them in half on a diagonal for easy eating, garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately while warm and gooey.
Notes
- Use store-bought or homemade creamy garlic sauce based on preference.
- For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the chicken seasoning mix.
- Substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas if desired.
- To make this recipe lower in fat, use reduced-fat cheese and less oil for cooking.
- Fresh parsley garnish is optional but adds a nice color and fresh flavor.
- Ensure chicken is cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for food safety.
