Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp lime zest
Instructions
- Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the cherries, lime juice, water, sugar, and lime zest. Blend until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Fill Molds: Pour the blended mixture into ice pop molds, leaving some space at the top to allow for expansion as they freeze.
- Insert Sticks & Freeze: Insert the ice pop sticks into each mold and freeze for at least 4 hours or until the ice pops are solid.
- Release Ice Pops: To remove the ice pops from the molds, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds until they loosen enough to pull out easily.
Notes
- You can adjust the sugar amount to taste or substitute with honey or agave syrup for a natural sweetener.
- Frozen cherries can be used if fresh cherries are not available.
- For a more intense lime flavor, add extra lime zest or an additional tablespoon of lime juice.
- If you don’t have ice pop molds, small paper cups with wooden sticks can be used as an alternative.
