Description

Chicken Bubble Biscuit Bake Casserole is a comforting and easy-to-make dinner recipe featuring tender cooked chicken mixed with creamy soup, sour cream, cheese, and bacon, all baked with biscuit pieces to create a bubbly, cheesy casserole perfect for family meals.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Mixture

  • 3 cups cooked, chopped chicken (or canned chicken)
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Ranch dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup cooked, chopped bacon

Biscuit Topping

  • 1 (12 oz) can refrigerator Grands Jr Biscuits
  • 1 cup grated cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked, chopped chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1 cup of grated cheese, Ranch dressing mix, and cooked, chopped bacon. Stir everything until evenly mixed.
  3. Prepare Biscuits: Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Toss these biscuit pieces gently with the chicken mixture ensuring all pieces are coated.
  4. Assemble Casserole: Pour the biscuit and chicken mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of grated cheese evenly on top.
  5. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-35 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly and hot throughout.

Notes

  • You can substitute cooked shredded rotisserie chicken if preferred.
  • For a lower-fat version, use reduced-fat sour cream and cheese.
  • Adding vegetables like peas or chopped mushrooms can add extra flavor and nutrients.
  • Ensure biscuits are well-coated in the mixture for even baking and fluffiness.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated for up to 3 days.
