Ingredients
Scale
Meat
- 1 lb ground beef (or 2 lbs for hearty servings), browned and drained
Cheese and Dairy
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Pasta and Sauce
- 1 (25 oz) package frozen cheese ravioli
- 1 jar (24 oz) pasta sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the Crockpot: Spread a thin layer of pasta sauce at the bottom of the crockpot to prevent the ingredients from sticking during cooking.
- Layer Ingredients: Place a layer of frozen cheese ravioli over the sauce, followed by a layer of the browned and drained ground beef. Sprinkle a layer of shredded Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses on top.
- Repeat Layers: Continue layering with pasta sauce, ravioli, ground beef, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheese, making sure each layer is well covered with sauce, until all ingredients are used.
- Top Layer: Finish with a generous final layer of pasta sauce and a good sprinkle of both cheeses for a bubbly, golden finish.
- Cook: Cover the crockpot and cook on high heat for 2 hours or low heat for 4 hours. The ravioli should be tender and the cheese melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Once done, serve the ravioli lasagna hot and enjoy the comforting flavors.
Notes
- For a meatier dish, increase the ground beef to 2 lbs.
- Use a non-stick spray or extra sauce to prevent sticking if your crockpot tends to stick.
- Feel free to use your favorite pasta sauce, whether marinara, alfredo, or a spicy arrabbiata.
- For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with sautéed mushrooms or a meat alternative.
- Ensure the ravioli is frozen when layering to prevent clumping and sticking together.
- Check the lasagna about 30 minutes before the end of cooking to ensure it isn’t drying out; add a splash of water or additional sauce if needed.
