Description

Jalapeno Popper Rolls are a deliciously cheesy and spicy appetizer featuring a creamy jalapeno and bacon filling wrapped in soft pizza dough and baked to golden perfection. These rolls blend creamy cream cheese, sharp cheddar, smoky bacon, and zesty jalapenos to create an irresistible bite-sized treat perfect for parties, snacks, or game day.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • â…“ cup diced jalapenos
  • â…“ cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 3 Tbsp herb & garlic seasoning
  • 1¼ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp milk

Dough

  • 1 (13.8-oz) tube refrigerated pizza crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425ºF (220ºC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, diced jalapenos, chopped cooked bacon, herb & garlic seasoning, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated to create a creamy, flavorful filling.
  3. Assemble Rolls: Unroll the refrigerated pizza crust onto a clean surface. Evenly spread the jalapeno and bacon cheese mixture over the entire dough surface. Starting from the longest side, tightly roll the dough lengthwise into a jelly-roll shape. Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 16 evenly sized rounds and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
  4. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For milder heat, adjust the amount of jalapenos or remove the seeds before dicing.
  • Use fully cooked bacon to ensure it crisps nicely in the filling.
  • These rolls are best served warm for optimal flavor and texture.
  • Can be made ahead and refrigerated; bake just before serving.
  • Substitute herb & garlic seasoning with your favorite seasoning blend if desired.
