Ingredients
Scale
Slider Patties
- 1 pound ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Assembly & Serving
- 6 slider-sized hamburger buns
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced onions
- Pickle slices
- Mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the beef mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid tough patties.
- Form the patties: Divide the beef mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each into a patty slightly larger than the slider buns to compensate for shrinkage during grilling.
- Preheat the grill: Heat the grill to medium-high, about 375°F to 400°F, ensuring it’s hot before cooking.
- Grill the patties first side: Place the burger patties on the grill. Close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes until the underside has grill marks and the patties begin to firm up.
- Flip and add cheese: Flip the patties over and immediately top each with a slice of cheddar cheese. Grill for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and the burgers reach your preferred doneness.
- Toast the buns: During the final minute of cooking, place the slider buns cut-side down on the grill until they turn golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Assemble the sliders: Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with a lettuce leaf, a grilled cheeseburger patty, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickle slices.
- Finish and serve: Top each slider with the other half of the bun, press gently to hold everything together, and serve immediately while warm to enjoy maximum juiciness.
Notes
- Do not overmix the beef to keep the patties tender.
- Adjust cooking time based on your grill and desired burger doneness.
- Use fresh vegetables for optimal texture and flavor.
- If you don’t have a grill, these sliders can be cooked on a grill pan or stovetop skillet with good results.
- Customize condiments and toppings to suit your taste preferences.
