Description

These Juicy Grilled Cheeseburger Sliders are perfect bite-sized sandwiches featuring flavorful seasoned beef patties grilled to perfection and topped with melted cheddar cheese. Served on toasted slider buns with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and classic condiments, they make an ideal appetizer or meal for gatherings and casual dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Patties

  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Assembly & Serving

  • 6 slider-sized hamburger buns
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced onions
  • Pickle slices
  • Mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid tough patties.
  2. Form the patties: Divide the beef mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each into a patty slightly larger than the slider buns to compensate for shrinkage during grilling.
  3. Preheat the grill: Heat the grill to medium-high, about 375°F to 400°F, ensuring it’s hot before cooking.
  4. Grill the patties first side: Place the burger patties on the grill. Close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes until the underside has grill marks and the patties begin to firm up.
  5. Flip and add cheese: Flip the patties over and immediately top each with a slice of cheddar cheese. Grill for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and the burgers reach your preferred doneness.
  6. Toast the buns: During the final minute of cooking, place the slider buns cut-side down on the grill until they turn golden brown and slightly crisp.
  7. Assemble the sliders: Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with a lettuce leaf, a grilled cheeseburger patty, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickle slices.
  8. Finish and serve: Top each slider with the other half of the bun, press gently to hold everything together, and serve immediately while warm to enjoy maximum juiciness.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the beef to keep the patties tender.
  • Adjust cooking time based on your grill and desired burger doneness.
  • Use fresh vegetables for optimal texture and flavor.
  • If you don’t have a grill, these sliders can be cooked on a grill pan or stovetop skillet with good results.
  • Customize condiments and toppings to suit your taste preferences.
