Description

These Kids’ Lunch Pizza Roll Ups are a fun and easy homemade snack combining flaky crescent roll dough with classic pizza toppings. Bursting with marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, pepperoni, and a flavorful Parmesan herb topping, they make a perfect lunch or after-school treat that kids will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Roll Pizza Ingredients

  • 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 16 slices pepperoni
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles.
  3. Add Sauce: Spread about 1 tablespoon of marinara or pizza sauce evenly over each crescent triangle.
  4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle approximately 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce on each triangle.
  5. Add Pepperoni: Place two slices of pepperoni on the wide end of each dough triangle for a meaty bite.
  6. Roll Up: Carefully roll the crescent rolls from the wide end toward the point to enclose the filling.
  7. Arrange Rolls: Place the rolled crescents spaced evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and garlic powder. Sprinkle this mixture over the tops of each roll-up for extra flavor.
  9. Bake: Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese has melted completely.
  10. Serve: Remove from oven, allow the rolls to cool slightly, and serve warm as is or with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure not to overfill the rolls to avoid sauce leaking out during baking.
  • You can substitute pepperoni with cooked sausage or vegetables for variation.
  • Use low-fat cheese options to reduce fat content if desired.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or microwave for a quick snack.
  • Feel free to add fresh basil or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
