Ingredients
Scale
Base
- 2 naan bread (store-bought or homemade)
Toppings
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
Seasonings & Finishes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven or air fryer: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). If using an oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the naan: Place the naan bread on the baking sheet or into the air fryer basket. Lightly brush each piece with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and optionally sprinkle garlic powder and dried oregano for extra flavor.
- Assemble the pizzas: Evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over each naan. Top with halved cherry tomatoes and torn fresh basil leaves. Season again lightly with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake the naan pizzas: If using the oven, bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese has melted, is bubbly, and the naan edges turn golden brown.
- Air fry the naan pizzas: If using an air fryer, cook at 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes or until cheese melts and the naan is crispy around the edges.
- Finishing touches: Once baked, remove the pizzas and drizzle balsamic glaze over the top to add a sweet, tangy flavor. Add extra fresh basil if desired for garnish.
- Serve: Slice and serve immediately as a light meal, appetizer, or snack that’s full of fresh, vibrant flavors.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh mozzarella with shredded low-moisture mozzarella if preferred.
- Adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes can provide a nice spicy kick.
- For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free naan bread.
- Balsamic glaze can be homemade by reducing balsamic vinegar with a bit of honey or sugar until thickened.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
