Description

This Refreshing Pineapple Lemonade is a vibrant and tangy summer beverage made with fresh pineapple chunks, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sweetened with granulated sugar. It’s blended to a smooth consistency, strained for a silky texture, and served chilled over ice, making it a perfect thirst-quencher for warm days. The drink can be easily customized with sparkling water or mint for an added twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 5 to 6 lemons)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup ice, plus more for serving
  • Lemon slices and pineapple wedges for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend Pineapple: Add the fresh pineapple chunks to a blender and blend until completely smooth, creating a fresh pineapple puree.
  2. Strain Puree: Pour the pineapple puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove excess pulp, pressing gently to extract as much juice as possible for a smooth texture.
  3. Add Lemon Juice and Sugar: Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved, combining the tartness and sweetness.
  4. Mix in Water: Pour in the cold water and stir well to combine all the flavors evenly. Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  5. Chill: Cover and refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and serve it well chilled.
  6. Serve: Serve the lemonade over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices or pineapple wedges for a beautiful presentation. Optionally, add sparkling water or fresh mint for variation.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace half of the water with chilled sparkling water just before serving.
  • Fresh mint leaves can be added to the pitcher or used as a garnish for extra freshness.
