Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 5 to 6 lemons)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 cup ice, plus more for serving
- Lemon slices and pineapple wedges for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Blend Pineapple: Add the fresh pineapple chunks to a blender and blend until completely smooth, creating a fresh pineapple puree.
- Strain Puree: Pour the pineapple puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove excess pulp, pressing gently to extract as much juice as possible for a smooth texture.
- Add Lemon Juice and Sugar: Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved, combining the tartness and sweetness.
- Mix in Water: Pour in the cold water and stir well to combine all the flavors evenly. Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and serve it well chilled.
- Serve: Serve the lemonade over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices or pineapple wedges for a beautiful presentation. Optionally, add sparkling water or fresh mint for variation.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, replace half of the water with chilled sparkling water just before serving.
- Fresh mint leaves can be added to the pitcher or used as a garnish for extra freshness.
