Ingredients
Scale
Cauliflower Bites
- 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Topping and Garnish
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking and ensure even roasting.
- Prepare the Cauliflower: Wash the cauliflower thoroughly and dry it completely. Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets to ensure even cooking and easy eating.
- Season the Cauliflower: In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Coat all the florets evenly with the seasoning mixture to infuse flavor throughout.
- Roast the Cauliflower: Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Flip the florets halfway through cooking to promote even browning. The cauliflower should become golden brown and crispy around the edges.
- Add Parmesan: Remove the cauliflower from the oven and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot florets. Toss gently to melt the cheese and coat the cauliflower evenly while still warm.
- Garnish and Serve: Optionally garnish with freshly chopped parsley to add a pop of color and fresh flavor. Serve the roasted Parmesan cauliflower bites warm as a flavorful side dish, snack, or appetizer alongside your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Make sure the cauliflower is completely dry before roasting to achieve crispiness.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melting and flavor.
- Flipping the florets halfway through roasting helps get an even golden color and crisp texture.
- These bites are perfect served warm but can be enjoyed at room temperature as well.
- For a spicier kick, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
