Description

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with this festive two-layer fudge recipe that combines creamy green-tinted white chocolate fudge with a smooth white chocolate layer, topped with sparkling green sprinkles and optional gold edible glitter for a touch of holiday magic.

Ingredients

Scale

Green Fudge Layer

  • 2 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Green Food Coloring (or as desired)

White Fudge Layer

  • 2 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Topping

  • Green Sprinkles or Nonpareils
  • Gold Edible Glitter (optional, for extra festive flair)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Dish: Line or grease an 8×8 inch baking dish to prevent sticking and set aside.
  2. Melt Green Fudge Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine 2 cups white chocolate chips, 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, and 1/4 cup butter. Stir constantly until everything is melted and smooth.
  3. Add Flavor and Color: Once melted, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp green food coloring. Adjust the amount of food coloring to achieve your desired festive green shade.
  4. Set Green Layer: Pour the green fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly across the bottom. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes to allow it to set slightly before adding the white fudge layer.
  5. Melt White Fudge Ingredients: While the green layer sets, melt the second batch of fudge: combine 2 cups white chocolate chips, 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, and 1/4 cup butter in a separate saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  6. Add Vanilla to White Layer: Remove the white fudge mixture from heat and stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract for flavor.
  7. Pour White Layer: Once the green layer has set slightly but is still tacky, pour the white fudge mixture gently over it, spreading evenly to cover the entire surface.
  8. Chill to Set: Place the layered fudge back in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until fully set and firm.
  9. Add Toppings: Just before serving, sprinkle green sprinkles or nonpareils and, if desired, add gold edible glitter on top to enhance the festive look.
  10. Slice and Serve: Remove fudge from the baking dish, slice into 24-30 pieces, and enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day treat.

Notes

  • You can adjust the green food coloring amount to achieve the exact shade you prefer.
  • Use a sharp knife warmed slightly in hot water for cleaner fudge slices.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Feel free to substitute white chocolate chips with vegan white chocolate chips to make it vegan-friendly.
  • Adding edible glitter is optional but adds a special festive touch.
