Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate and Sweets
- 5 (1 ounce) squares chopped white chocolate
- 1 (1.55 ounce) bar milk chocolate candy
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
Cookies
- 20 oatmeal cookies
Instructions
- Prepare White Chocolate: Melt the chopped white chocolate in a double boiler until smooth and creamy. Spread the melted white chocolate evenly over the bottoms of 10 of the oatmeal cookies to create a flavorful base.
- Assemble Cookies: Break the milk chocolate bar into 10 equal pieces. Place one piece of milk chocolate on top of the white chocolate spread on each of the 10 prepared cookies.
- Add Marshmallows: Generously top each piece of milk chocolate with miniature marshmallows, ensuring a gooey center when melted.
- Create Sandwiches: Place the remaining 10 oatmeal cookies on top of the marshmallows, pressing gently to form 10 sandwich cookies with chocolate and marshmallow filling.
- Toast Cookies: Using tongs, carefully hold the cookie sandwiches over a campfire flame or on a stovetop burner. Toast them for about 3 minutes until the chocolate and marshmallows have melted and become warm and gooey. Rotate frequently to avoid burning.
- Serve: Remove the cookies from the heat and enjoy immediately while warm and gooey for the perfect sweet treat.
Notes
- Use tongs and be cautious when toasting cookies over an open flame to avoid burns.
- Ensure the cookies are toasted evenly by rotating frequently.
- For easier melting, the marshmallows can be slightly pressed into the chocolate before adding the top cookie.
- This recipe works beautifully with any sturdy cookie base if oatmeal cookies are unavailable.
- Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
