Description

A cozy and comforting Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea, combining robust black tea with warm cinnamon and vanilla flavors, sweetened with honey and enriched with creamy milk. Perfect for a soothing break or a delightful morning treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Tea Base

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 black tea bag (or 1 tablespoon loose leaf black tea)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon)

Sweetener

  • 1 tablespoon honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)

Milk Mixture

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based like almond or oat milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (optional for extra warmth)

Instructions

  1. Boil Water and Add Ingredients: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon along with the black tea bag or loose leaf tea to infuse flavors.
  2. Steep the Tea: Allow the tea mixture to steep for about 4-5 minutes, adjusting the time for your preferred tea strength and spiciness from the cinnamon.
  3. Strain and Sweeten: Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose tea leaves and cinnamon. Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey or your chosen sweetener until completely dissolved.
  4. Add Milk and Flavorings: Pour in the 1/2 cup of milk, add vanilla extract and optional ground ginger for extra warmth. Stir the mixture well.
  5. Heat Gently: Warm the tea gently over low heat until the milk becomes warm and slightly frothy, taking care not to boil the milk.
  6. Serve: Pour the vanilla cinnamon milk tea into a mug, remove the cinnamon stick if used, and enjoy your comforting warm beverage.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey or sweetener to your taste preference.
  • Use any milk of choice: dairy, almond, oat, or soy milk.
  • For a stronger cinnamon flavor, use a cinnamon stick instead of ground cinnamon and let it steep longer.
  • The optional ground ginger adds a nice warming spice but can be omitted if preferred.
  • This recipe serves one but can be easily multiplied for more servings.
